The 4th Annual Los Angeles International Tamale Festival & Dia de los Muertos will take place on the same date and location, MacArthur Park on 7th Street & Alvarado in Los Angeles, Ca. This event is sure to draw over 55,000+ people thru out the weekend! It will include the following: Altar Making Contest, Art & Crafts Booths, Best Tamale cntest, Tamale Eating Contest, Tamale Making Demo, Commercial Booths, Non-profit Booths, Kids Zone, Free Entertainment, and more.

Expor Rock Show es el evento que concentra a todo el rock, en un mismo lugar. Es un completo escaparate de tendencias y novedades para todos aquellos con un interés total en torno al Rock que se mezcla en un solo espacio: Expositores,conciertos, firmas de autógrafos, show cases, áreas de entretenimiento y clínicas, hacen que esta EXPO sea única en su género.

Los visitantes al evento podrán sentir y vibrar la pasión del rock por cada pasillo y en cada escenario de la expo.

Número de asistentes: 65,000 visitantes aproximados, en 4 días de Exhibición

Audiencia: Abierto al público en general con un costo de acceso de $ 150.00 , apoyado con una agresiva estrategia de relaciones publicas, medios impresos, radio, espectaculares , rutas de camiones, volanteo con botargas, mail marketing, etc.

Horarios: 11:00 hrs. a 21:00 hrs.

Pabellón de Expositores:
Lugar donde las empresas podrán demostrar y ofrecer sus productos y servicios, más de 200 Stands de 9 m2 c/u.

Escenario Main Stage:
Un área diseñada especialmente para conciertos, en donde albergaremos bandas de gran prestigio nacional e internacional, grupos que cuentan ya con una historia muy marcada en el mundo del Rock.

Escenario Show Case:
En este escenario contaremos con la participación de grupos musicales que están arrancando en su género, o bien que cuentan con una trayectoria corta pero sólida,

Sala de Conferencias:
Clínicas y talleres. Actividades con temas de actualidad relacionadas con el mundo del Rock, impartidas por grandes representantes de distintos géneros y reconocidos especialistas involucrados en el medio.

Museo:
Contaremos con la participación de colecciones gráficas, esculturales, musicales, y archivos históricos que estén relacionados con las bandas y eventos mas importantes a nivel mundial en el género del Rock.

ECO L.A. Magazine Dia De Los Muertos Festival

We would like to Thank You for many years of supporting Festival De La Gente. This year’s event will be held at the Barker Block on Saturday, November 1st, and Sunday, November 2nd, 2008 from the hours of 1-9pm daily at no cost to the community.

Altar Contest
Artist, Students and Local Organizations from around the country will participate in the Altar Contest Sponsored in Part by Sci-Hispana Funerarias Del Angel.

Curated by Ginette Rondeau, the Altars will be the centerpiece of the Art Gallery.

Performance and Teatro Main Stage
Watch as the streets of Los Angeles are turned in “Avenida de los Muertos” at the Barker Block. Our main stage will be turned into Los Angeles’s Largest Altar, musical offrendas will be provided by an onslaught of musical guest which include Local Hometown Favorites like Quinto Sol, Santos De Los Angele the 18 piece swing band The Wise Guys. This year’s Festival De La Gente will feature a special guest performance to be announced in the coming weeks. Keep Checking the Website for the announcement.

Witches & Ghosts & Goblins OH MY!!! You are invited to attend a Halloween Party at The Westchester. Grab your best Halloween costume and come party with us. Be with us at the Halloween Coterie (were we will also be celebrating Jester’s Birthday!)

Come in your costume and,following the Halloween parade around the Westcehster floor, you will be entertained by the ever-popular DJ Mars. Come to the party of the year and listen to the following bands: Mente Corrupta, Tres Colores, Grito Mutual, Abaco, Infiel, y Lakra.

Not in the Halloween spirit, no problem! Grab your friends anyway and come have a blast. The more the merrier at The Westchester!!!

In music, the three sounds were jazz, jazz, and jazz. The Jazz Age came about with artist like Bessie Smith and Duke Ellington. Youth ruled everything. From the young styles of dress to the latest celebrities. If it was young, it was the thing.
